A browser-based app that converts geodata to addresses, and vice versa.
Mapzen Search is a free, open-source data visualization tool, that allows you to create interactives that retrieve and explore geodata.
By integrating the Mapzen Search API into a visualization, journalists can reveal stories about a particular place or type of location, using names and addresses that are familiar to the audience.
The engine is powered by Mapzen's geocoding project Pelias, allowing you to query large sets of data with place names or addresses, rather than longitude/latitude coordinates. As an open-source project, Pelias runs off open datasets, like OpenStreetMap, GeoNames, and OpenAddresses.
